Am i the only one that thinks Miku and KAITO go together

It's arguable as to whether or not a 14-year-old is even capable of being in a "perfectly healthy" romantic relationship, even with someone their own age. They're just not emotionally mature enough, and they won't be until around 25, according to our current understanding of the human mind. Teens might try and pursue romantic relationships with their peers, and there's nothing wrong with that, but teen romances are comparatively shallow and immature. They're more like practice for relationships later on in adulthood. (This may have something to do with why you say your parents don't want you to date until after college.)
As for Kaito's age, I realize it can be tough to tell a character's age when they're drawn in a cutesy "moe" anime artstyle, as most Vocaloids are. Otaku culture's infantilization of women and rampant sexualization of minors (regardless of gender) can make it really hard to tell sometimes how old a character is supposed to be. For instance, while I headcanon Galaco as an adult- partly because she has a mature sounding voice, partly because I'm an adult and I just find adults more interesting to write about- I could understand if someone interpreted her to be younger, especially if they're looking at her super-"moe" neo artwork.
But I find it really difficult to believe that anyone could look at- or listen to, since this is Vocaloid we're talking about- Kaito and think he's not an adult. Sometimes you don't need a canon age. Like you don't need a canon age listed to know that Piko and Rana are supposed to be kids, or Bruno and Clara are supposed to be adults.
i really respect where you're coming from, i just think the whole thhing is subjective since everyone thinks differently. i honestly thought of piko as an older teen, which is why i think that headcanoned ages (even if popular) shouldn't be taken that seriously when nothing is official and everyone's minds are different. i personally think of kaito and meiko as adults as well but some people might think of them as 16-year-olds.
also i agree with you that teenagers arent really that capable of carrying out serious, committed relationships! but i dont think that it's morally wrong for them to pursue relationships. i think it can build chracter and prepare them for real relationships when they're older, because it sort of gives them an idea of what they might live with in the future up ahead (in terms of marriage), so while i dont think it's GOOD per se for young teens to be in relationships i don't think it's morally wrong either
I personally do not ship it. Something about a 16 y/o girl in a romantic relationship with a guy that is supposed to be middle aged doesn't really feel right. I ship Kaito and Meiko (since they are both supposedly middle aged. I know Kaito is supposed to be, but idrk about Meiko) and I ship Miku and Gumi (I don't really know why, but I think they look cute together and their voices soud nice together, too.)

honestly i think Gumi goes good with a lot of vocaloids!

I have not heard Smile Agian! I'll be sure to look it up! Also, Gumi does go with a lot of other vocaloids!
EDIT: Just finished listening to it. It's such a beautiful song, and it really shows how good both Miku and Gumi sing!

Kaito isn't supposed to be middle aged! This is a common mistake in the fandom (like thinking Teto is a Vocaloid, or the Kagamines are canonically twins). For more information, see Kaito's wikia page under 'concept'. He has no official age, and is rarely portrayed as older than 25.
I've seen so many people make the 'Kaito is intended to be middle aged' mistake, I might add it to his page under 'common misconceptions'. Thoughts?
Friendly heads-up, people. People can often depict VOCALOIDS in any age, even if some of them are given official ages. Heck, 16-year old Miku can be depicted as a woman in her young 30s and as a mother of Rin and Len, whom someone can depict as both 10 or 12 years old.
KAITO has no official age. But if you ask me, I see KAITO (and even MEIKO) as someone who is 18 years old.
Gumi doesn't go with Yohioloid most of the time, in fact there is quite a few Gumi doesn't go with.
Edit: Kaito to me is in his early 20s.
Edit: The Kaito being middle-aged comes from the unofficial manga by Kei, he depicted both Meiko and Kaito approx. that aged. Meiko was flat out said when they had the chapter talking about Luka coming into the house. Luka and Meiko were both adults, but Meiko was older.

Here is what I read about this topic:
"While KAITO has no "official" age, in Meka Hikoshiki Hatsune Mikkusu series, artist KEI Garou (the official artist of the Crypton VOCALOID character series) protrays KAITO as a middle aged man. Though, KEI has stated in interviews that this is unofficial."
As I DO see where you are coming through, and as how he has no official age, I like going with what a professional protrays him as. Therefor, I was stating my OPINION of his age.
