Hello everyone! I've seen a lot of fans who said that Vocaloid is "dying" and is losing popularity.
I personally don't agree that Vocaloid is "dying".
Over the past 10 years, the Vocaloid community has been growing a lot and is very active in my opinion.
Hatsune Miku and Vocaloid in general have received global recognition.
Vocaloid became very known in the anime community, and some Japanese Vocaloid producers are of the very popular musicians in Japan right now, such as Kenshi Yonezu for example. And there are many popular musicians and singers who are related to Vocaloid in some way. Vocaloid related franchises, games, novels, manga and anime such as Kagerou Project, Black Rock Shooter and the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA games are pretty popular.
Vocaloid concerts such as Miku Expo have become very popular in many countries all over the world, which have contributed to recognition in the media.
Even 5 years ago, many of the most popular videos barely had 5 or 10 million views, with the most viewed videos Two-faced lovers PV and World Is Mine PV having about 19 million views back then.
Nowadays, a lot of popular Vocaloid songs have over 10+ or 20+ million views on YouTube/Niconico.
And some of the most popular songs have even 30+ million views. Kenshi's/Hachi's DUNE is the fastest to hit 1 million views and the most viewed Vocaloid song with 50+ million views. Vocaloid song covers and Utaites such as Mafumafu, Reol etc. have become very popular musicians, too with songs and covers over 50+ million views on YouTube.
Please tell me what you think in the comments! ^^
