Before I start, I want you all to keep in mind that I'm Malaysian, so the prices here will be listed in USD (United States Dollar) and MYR (Ringgit Malaysia).
So, I recently began saving up to buy a copy of a version of VOCALOID, and Songman's (either) V4 or V5. Now here's the question: Which VOCALOID version do I buy? A lot of my other online friends have been advising against V5 (this'll come up later), so there's the option of just getting V4 (not sure of the price) and Songman's V4. (also not sure of the price). Then again, if I get V5 standard (USD 225.23/MYR 926.82) and Songman's V5 (USD 90.09/MYR 370.72), which would total up to USD315.32/MYR 1297.54, then I would get the V5 Standards (I'll mostly be using Chris) and Songman's V5. But if I get V5 Premium (USD 360.36/MYR 1482.88) then I get both Songman and Chris at once, but for more, where in the first option, I get them as well for slightly less, but I have to download Songman seperately.
Then, there's the part where I mentioned some of my buddies suggesting against getting V5. I obviously don't know how V5 is, or any VOCALOID version for that matter (the closest I've gotten to actually owning something close to VOCALOID is SynthV and Deepvocal). So, I'm gonna need user experience from you guys. Is V5 as hard to use as people say it is? Since I don't wanna end up being all confused as to how the program works and have everything all cluttered. Also: Is V4 easy as well? I'm gonna need opinions since I can't be making impulsive decisions, then ending up with something I don't like. One complaint I see about V5 is that you can't port V2 voicebanks to it (which sucks because I also want Big AL, but he's honestly more of a stretch goal, so not being able to port him to V5 unless I get a cracked copy means I also need to get V4 so more money spent), and I honestly agree with it being a stupid idea. Other than that, it seems fine.
So with that said:
Help.
Edit 11/3/2021: I found the Bandcamp page for [SELF], and the album it's from, Bearer of the Heart. So far, I've listened to [AWAKE], [SELF], and part of [RISE]. Turns out this album was created in an effort to create the biggest vocal synth choir ever, which sounds amazing! I'm going to complete the album later today after my online classes (they've not started yet as of writing this lol), and hopefully I can get some closure as to why this album seems so existential and atmospheric (which absolutely isn't a bad thing, it's actually pretty awesome). And don't worry, I will re-edit this once I finish it, either that or I'll make little mini-edits throughout my listening of the album. :)
Mini-edit 8:45am: I found a few other videos relating to Bearer of the Heart yesterday, like:
From the Cartographer https://youtu.be/VdZe2j9xjIc
»Awake... https://youtu.be/MZQ5mrC7EdU
And »Bearer_of_the_Heart_awakens... https://youtu.be/NhIHZiox_0I
So far, [SELF] is the only track on the album to have gotten an animated music video, but hopefully there is a chance that the rest of the album will also get music videos, considering there appears to be a story (see my previous edit on the story part). Also, my apologies I couldn't get back to you guys about the rest of the songs earlier, I'm currently working with a curfew on how long I can use my mobile devices/computer, that is: I can't use them after 9:30pm. I'll make as many small discoveries and edits as I can before my curfews, I can and will keep going until I find some semblance of a story or timeline here. And once I do, there's a fair chance this album's gonna be getting a home on this wiki. Wish me luck, guys.
Mini-edit 12:22pm: It's currently lunchtime regarding my online classes. I'm listening to [AWAKE] right now. Once I'm done with the album (it's around half an hour long), I'll write something here.
Mini-edit 12:28pm: Here's the album's Bandcamp link, in case anyone is interested in helping out:

Edit 10/3/2021: Just re-watched the whole thing, I think it's about an ancient robot species rebuilding the Earth, but at the cost of their lives. Also I think they were some kind of thriving society where humans and robots coexisted and they made a metric heck-ton of technological advances, but thanks to some war that happened at some point, the humans got wiped out and only the robots survived. Than the stuff I mentioned in the first part happens. Other than all that, I'm still completely clueless as to what the heck this could mean, not to mention I could be completely wrong and I gotta read the lyrics or something to really understand this. BUT, it's still really beautiful. I may re-edit this tomorrow if I find anything else.
Original post 9/3/2021: I'm gonna need some help with a song that I recently (and by recently I mean yesterday) found by an artist named ODDEEO. It's called [SELF], and it's a collaboration of multiple VOCALOID producers (think Circus-P, AkiGlancy, Creep-P), and it's around nine and a half minutes long. It appears to show something of a "broken world" theme, but that's really all I can get from it. That, and there's a bunch of cameos from different VOCALOIDs, their voice providers, and a few others (e.g Miku, KAITO, Big AL, nostraightanswer, Cyman, Lystrialle). I've been having a lot of trouble understanding things like the lyrics (e.g. "may cartographer guide us"), and the general meaning of the song. It appears to be very...vague? and while it is very pretty, beautiful may I say, I'm almost completely lost on what...aNY OF IT means! I'll link it here, and if any of you have even the slightest idea of what it could be about, please tell me! Because I'm trying to appreciate it, but I feel like the only way that I can is to find out what it means.

Not sure whether to share this here or on UTAU wiki since it's VOCALOID and UTAU fanart, but ✨oh, well✨.
I wanted to practice some art so uhhh
He's a Chad bye
(Also if anyone has constructive criticism to help me improve please say so)
I made a description post for Big Al and I was wondering whether the information on his backstory was correct. This is what I've gathered from around, but I'm not sure it's quite accurate.
