I want too do a duo meiko and kaito cosplay but the only person who wants too wants too be kaito. i am not too sure were i could wear a high school guy could wear a meiko cosplay besides concerts and conventions but i'm not willing too spend that much when miku's my fav and they don't care about miku much. idk if i should do it i would probably be judged by my family for making it.

Hi! I'm Charlie (they/them but any prns ok) and I'm a massive Vocaloid fan! I've been into Vocaloid for over a year and have been using Fandom for even longer, however I only just joined!

Rin woke up. It was about 1:39 AM. Her stomach growled and her hair was greasy and stuck to her forehead. She ran her hands through her hair to smooth it out, and when she stopped, her palms were covered in dandruff from atop her head.

Her room had light pink walls, shelves packed with anime figures, shelves packed with musical albums, and her bed had loads of plushies of various cute things, like Sanrio, Pokemon, things like that. It was dark outside, so her cute room looked gray and creepy. Her fluffy, soft, light yellow pajamas were the only source of joy.

Rin wiped the sweat from her forehead before jumping off her creaky but warm bed. She went to her desk and turned on her LED nightlight shaped like a cat. She opened her computer and immediately opened up YouTube. The bright glow of the screen drew her in. It was hypnotic, but at the same time, gave her a dopamine hit.

She knew she wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep, so she just stayed on her computer, scrolling YouTube shorts. She was addicted to the constant noise and colors. It was all so fast. So upbeat, something Rin couldn’t be.

Her headphones were like a warm hug for her ears. She felt safe while wearing them. Is this how she would live the rest of her life? Was she going to stay here forever? Would this room, drenched in the bright glow of a screen, be the resting place of Kagamine Rin? Nevermind that. Now is now, the future is the future.

Once it hit 5:00 AM, she took a shower. A cold, silent shower. The icy water droplets hit her body and made her want to crawl out of her own skin. As she put shampoo in her short, yellow hair, she started crying. She didn’t know why, she just did. The tears fell from her blue eyes and mixed with the water from the showerhead on their way down. Then, Rin felt a strong wave of embarrassment. An idol can’t cry. An idol has to be perfect. No feelings allowed, or her fans would hate her. She held back a scream. It’d be rude to ruin everyone else’s sleep because of her own stupid mind.

Once she got out of the shower, she went back to her room. She sprayed perfume onto her neck that had the sweet, wonderful smell of chocolate. She put on deodorant. For some reason, she had a preference for Old Spice. She enjoyed the manly-but-sweet smell. Finally, she put on her signature outfit, which consisted of a loose-fitting white crop-top with a yellow bow, tight black short-shorts, comfortable arm warmers and leg warmers with the same color as her shorts, a white ribbon atop her head, and white hair clips on her bangs.

Rin went downstairs where Meiko, her manager, mother, and a fellow idol, was making waffles. The waffles. The waffles had that indescribable smell of homemade confectionaries. The syrup poured down onto the waffles, like a waterfall of ooey-gooey, brown, sugary goodness. Rin realized that her mouth was watering, and quickly wiped the drool from her face.

Kaito, Meiko’s husband, sat at the dining room table, his deep blue hair perfectly combed and comfy-looking scarf wrapped around his neck. Diagonal from him sat Len, who looked identical to Rin (They are twins, afterall), but genderswapped. He had his elbows on the pure white, crisp tablecloth. Across from Len sat Luka, her loose pink hair outlining her perfectly curved form. At the head of the table sat the beautiful Hatsune Miku, with lovely teal twintails shining in the sunlight from the window. She idly swayed from side to side. She looked so serene. So happy. Rin sat down next to Len.

It wasn’t long until Meiko served the delicious-looking waffles and sat across from Miku. Meiko’s outfit looked similar to fire in this lighting. Her red dress sparkled like embers. Everyone said “Thank you” to Meiko, before beginning to eat the waffles. They were just as perfect as they looked! They were fluffy and the butter melted in Rin’s mouth.

The waffles were so good that they induced silence among the table. “We have to leave the house soon to go to the concert.” Meiko broke the silence. Everyone nodded. Len smirked. “Everyone loves me, so I’ll do fine.” Rin looked at Len. “No. We all just think you're weird.”, she said in a monotone voice. Len looked mock-offended. “Well, excuse me for being so cool. Pfft.” He playfully smacked Rin across the face. Rin smacked her brother back. The twins started giggling and smacking eachother. Miku eventually put her arm between them. “Ok. That’s enough. We have to leave”, Miku said, her voice lovely and sweet as usual.

I SWEAR I WAS GOING TO STUDY!!! (lie) i was just… aaaslkfgh my brain was SO full of fluff yesterday it was just screaming FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF!!!!! I LOVE FLUFF!!!!!! and i went I AGREE!!!!! and so i thought about kaito (hes my comfort character) and how he would probably be so Nice and Warm to hug. and squish (/affectionate). and i dont have kaito the vocaloid in real life so best i can do is imagine the hugs and suddenly my brain immediately generated this image and i HAD to draw it (i was so fuelled with motivation i drew almost the whole thing in one sitting 😭)

IT WASNT SUPPOSED TO BE THIS DETAILED EITHER!! i was just supposed to draw a base for the sake of proportions (which you cant really mess up if youre drawing hugs otherwise everything will fall apart and Die), and then the lineart. and then i went “yeaa that looks good” and my brain went “okay but WHAT IF you coloured it” so i coloured it. and i went “woaaa that looks so much nicer” and my brain said “okay but WHAT IF you ADDED SHADING?!?!” and so i did. and i went “woa yeah that lookss better” and my brain went “OKAY BUT WHAT IF YOU ADDED A BACKGROUND” and thats how i got here……

I hope it was worth it,. i spent like 4 hours on this LOL

• i’m aroace, and autistic! as a result, i might not have very good social skills and i apologise for that 😞

• my favourite vocaloids are len and kaito,. they are both silly goober in my head. actually len is the silly goober and kaito is a big dumb idiot /aff

• some voca-ships i love are kaimei, gakukai, and leo/need kailen, but i think all ships are awesome sauce as long as they aren’t depicted as child x adult or something like that!
