VOCALOID first

I just recently joined the Vocaloid fandom and some of what fellow fans have been saying is not very good. I'll still enjoy the art of Vocaloid but, is it's fandom really dying? I'm trying to open a discussion as to weather it was just a joke. Or if we'll have to see how to revive a fandom this could just be me looking dumb or me trying to get everyone to stand up together and keep 'this' alive.
