Is there any difference between a V4 and a V4X? I noticed only the cryptonloids are V4Xes is it just a thing they made for marketing to make their loids stand out from other ones or is there an actual reason behind it?
If I were to purchase a V3 voicebank, (MAYU) would I be able to use her in V4 editor? I'm considering purchasing vocaloid.
Hello everyone my name is Bati. I have known about Vocaloid since it came out, I thought it was cool and all, but I never paid much heed to it. Fast forward. I am now a manga artist with an original manga called Rock Star Warriors. It's a story about four boys who form a pop-punk band and are transported to the parallel Music World where everything and everyone is musical--even the plants. The story revolves around this band and their female pop-punk counterparts. Cool? Cool.
Soon I will be publishing this manga on Webtoons. Now, I have this idea to create animated trailers for the manga to get people interested in reading it. But one thing that occurred to me was using Vocaloid to synthesize the voices of some of the characters. The trailer has to feature the music, as this whole manga is based around the music. And since Vocaloid is so popular, I think it would be a neat idea. But I have some questions that I hope you awesome people can answer for me.
1) How would I go about hiring someone to do the Vocaloid songs? I have the lyrics, I know how the melody sounds like. But how do I find someone who can work on Vocaloid and produce the song for me?
2) How much money would this cost me? Assuming I make 3 songs 1-2 minutes long. Let's work with dollars here please.
3) Copyright. The characters are mine, the story is mine, the lyrics are mine, everything is original. But Vocaloid voice banks are what confuse me a bit. I'm not trying to take the voice and put it over Hatsune Miku. I'm trying to take the voice and put it over my original characters. So if I do this, do I have copyright ownership over the produced song? Do I have to credit Vocaloid? (of course I would credit the person whom I hire to produce the song). But if I put these trailers do I have some obligation to credit "all voices were produced in Vocaloid" king of thing?
Thank you. I would appreciate your answers.
Before I start, I want you all to keep in mind that I'm Malaysian, so the prices here will be listed in USD (United States Dollar) and MYR (Ringgit Malaysia).
So, I recently began saving up to buy a copy of a version of VOCALOID, and Songman's (either) V4 or V5. Now here's the question: Which VOCALOID version do I buy? A lot of my other online friends have been advising against V5 (this'll come up later), so there's the option of just getting V4 (not sure of the price) and Songman's V4. (also not sure of the price). Then again, if I get V5 standard (USD 225.23/MYR 926.82) and Songman's V5 (USD 90.09/MYR 370.72), which would total up to USD315.32/MYR 1297.54, then I would get the V5 Standards (I'll mostly be using Chris) and Songman's V5. But if I get V5 Premium (USD 360.36/MYR 1482.88) then I get both Songman and Chris at once, but for more, where in the first option, I get them as well for slightly less, but I have to download Songman seperately.
Then, there's the part where I mentioned some of my buddies suggesting against getting V5. I obviously don't know how V5 is, or any VOCALOID version for that matter (the closest I've gotten to actually owning something close to VOCALOID is SynthV and Deepvocal). So, I'm gonna need user experience from you guys. Is V5 as hard to use as people say it is? Since I don't wanna end up being all confused as to how the program works and have everything all cluttered. Also: Is V4 easy as well? I'm gonna need opinions since I can't be making impulsive decisions, then ending up with something I don't like. One complaint I see about V5 is that you can't port V2 voicebanks to it (which sucks because I also want Big AL, but he's honestly more of a stretch goal, so not being able to port him to V5 unless I get a cracked copy means I also need to get V4 so more money spent), and I honestly agree with it being a stupid idea. Other than that, it seems fine.
So with that said:
Help.
Is it okay to use the loophole of vocaloid to give growl to Meiko? I'm quite new to this and idk if it's illegal
About 2-3 years ago I saw a program about artificial intelligence. It was a series, one of the episodes was about Vocaloids. There was a lot of Ruby and her voicer, Misha. It was also about the IA concert.
Maybe you know what it could be, I will be grateful for your help.
I’m looking more specifically for a starter pack like the physical version of Fukase or otomachi una + vocaloid4. I already own piapro + Hatsune Miku but it’s being a ass to use.
I only have 168USD on me right now though, but thanks for reading!

So I really wanna be a Vocaloid producer, although I don't really like Vocaloid5's tuning. Is there still a way to buy or download Vocaloid3 or Vocaloid4? Because I can't really find them anymore.
I recently purchased the download version of the Rin/Len V4x bundle from Big Fish Audio and I can't install the voicebanks without this error coming up:
An error (-5001 : 0x80070002) has occured while running setup.
Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications. If error still occurs, please contact your vendor: Crypton Future Media, Inc.."
For those who don't know, Iroha (and possibly the other AHS V4s) comes with a trial editor. Now that that's out of the way I've been working on a DEX & DAINA song in Piapro and some parts of the VSQx are too fast so I wanna use the double duration plugin that Voctro made. The only thing is that I tuned DAINA's part of the first verse and if I open the VSQx in V3, I will most likely loose some of my tuning. I can't just up the BPM because it's not the entire VSQx and it will most likely fuck with the instrumental and the timing and shit. I do have the full V3 editor so if that's to only option I have to fix things I'll use it.
