Same, the voice provider's identity should be prioritized over the Vocaloid mascot/avatar/character imo.
I'm starting to ship Stardust x Ling because they sound great as a duet, like in these covers:

Tbh Miku V4 English is not as completely disappointing as I thought it would be, though they could have got someone else to do the demo song. I'm expecting better from 1st PLACE with IA English though because Miku V4 English isn't really a significant improvement over the likes of Crypton's other English voicebanks.
No, because Fukase wasn't released as a part of Yamaha's VY series. The other VY vocals are avatarless and intended for one language only while Fukase does not fit into either of those traits.
Implement it now, I guess.
@Johatsun Kikuro I could help test out your voicebank. Another place you could ask is UtaForum, I'm sure lots of people there would like to help.
Just make a song related to a popular fandom, like Undertale or Steven Universe. The fans will come flocking to your music in no time.
@Kotoritachi Thanks, now that I look at it again I think I'm going to change her facial expression. (And I'll probably die colouring it RIP)
I haven't even played Overwatch yet but I already know all the heroes' names and the memes, like "Ryuu ga waga teki wo kurau" and "It's high noon". I really need to decide between Overwatch and Una. Also has anyone else noticed that Una's product page on Vocaloid net shop is called "Otomachi Una V4" when she's not an updated voicebank?
EmbraceEvil wrote: for some reason the japanese/main fandom decided her item (other than the road roller) was an orange. idk why
Probably because her head (with the bow) kind of resembles the shape of an orange?
@BurrfrostMoon Well, this poll is about Crypton Vocaloids only...and Cul, Mayu, and Gackpo are not Crypton Vocaloids.
I don't think it's that their accents are too strong. Rather, their accents sound more like how an American person would when speaking, than singing. Usually singers have more "slurred" accents when singing and tend to pronounce words differently.
No new character here lol, just Kuroha, he's considered a new character because he hadn't appeared in his Konoha form in the novels before
Oh really? That's great he's appearing in this movie because he's my favourite character. Imo, he didn't get enough screentime in MCA.
Apparently there's going to be a KagePro movie called "-in a day's-" in MX4D. (For people who don't know what that is, it's basically an interactive/immersive 3D theatre thing.) A new character will be introduced, Sidu is going to be the director, and the release date is November 2016. It's only for Japan though.
Tortoiseshel wrote: It's not about his ethnicity, it's about how dark skin is unfortunately still considered less attractive than light skin, and depicting one of the few canonically dark skinned Vocaloids super pale sends a message, even unintentional, that fair skin is more desirable. And if you don't see a problem with that, I don't know what else to say.
Still, here in the west there's more discrimination towards the individual ethnicities of people rather than their actual skin colours. Dark skin is considered more attractive than pale skin in western pop culture, hence why so much white people want to get a tan. But when a black, Pacific Islander, or Middle Eastern person has dark skin it's not as desirable, which is why I bring up the topic of ethnicity. In eastern cultures like Japan or South Korea however, lighter skin is considered more attractive. I'm not saying it's not a problem, but it's not the same thing as real-life beauty standards since Dex isn't supposed to be a realistic representation of a dark skinned person.
@89.210.179.53 There are lots of mid-range male vocals, like ZOLA Project, Fukase, Dex, Yohioloid, and Kaito. Gackpo is versatile enough to be used in that range though his tone is slightly deeper. I missed the chance to listen to Luan but apparently he sounded very feminine. If anything there are not much deep-voiced male vocals, as in lower baritone and bass. Aside from Big Al or VY2 most of the male vocals share the common tenor register.
