What would the "original one" be then? I'm talking about with original songs that just happen to use Vocaloids. People say they're by the Vocaloids themselves instead of the song artists. For example, saying that "Copycat" is by Gumi instead of saying it's by Vocacircus.

What do you mean?

1: Vocaloid original songs are... well, originals. They aren't covers, otherwise they'd be labeled covers. Electric Angel by Yasuo isn't a cover just because it uses Hatsune Miku. It's still an original song.

2: Even in the case of covers, shouldn't people still say the covers are by the actual people behind them? The Vocaloids still aren't real people.

(Eh. Sorry. I just always get a bit mad when I see someone credit a Vocaloid song to the Vocaloid itself when Vocaloids aren’t real people XD. It’s just something that triggers me. I can’t dictate how you act so do what ya want as long as it isn’t hurting anyone or yourself)

I have multiple favorites, but I’d say Gumi will always hold the number one spot for me. The first Vocaloid song I listened to was Copycat by Vocacircus, which used Gumi’s English voicebank, and from there I listened to more Vocaloid songs by more people... though always Gumi English ones at first XD. Eventually, I found Housewife Radio by GHOST and got interested when I read the description and it said that it was part of a discontinued song series. So, I listened to the other COMMUNICATIONS songs and branched out to listening to songs using other Vocaloids from there. Therefore, Gumi is the reason I’m here in the first place XD.

... well actually the first Vocaloid song I heard (unless I’m forgetting something) was Tokyo Teddy Bear (I think it was in my early days in the UT Fandom when I heard Tokyovania, the remix of both Tokyo Teddy Bear and Megalovania. The remix is by SharaX. It’s good. I remember looking up Tokyo Teddy Bear and listening for a few seconds... then I quit XD). I wasn’t interested, though. Even today, Rin isn’t one of my favorites (Len is, though). She’s not bad, I just prefer how other Vocaloids sound.

For my favorite Japanese songs:

Most of MARETU’s works (with some extra special highlights being Darling [my absolute favorite of his], Miseenen, SIU, Coin Locker Baby, and Mind Brand [especially the extended intro version)

Matryoshka (though I do prefer Vocaphilia’s MEIKA Hime and Mikoto cover because... bias [The first time I heard that song was that cover XD)

...That’s it, really. Most Vocaloid Songs I like are English ones so I can’t really say more on the Japanese ones I like.

So yeah.

Thogvh that’s not really relevant to this discussion. This is about taking Vocaloid songs and describing them in the best/worst way possible (the memiest or something)
