Announcements
Hiya! Last year it was announced, and it is finally released to all logged in Users!
What is post history, you may ask? It is a new tool, in which if you see that a post has the "edited" tag on it, you can click the three vertical dots on the side of the post and see previous versions! This is to help with transparency, and to take a defensive stance to protect all users from any trickery that some may try to cause by editing their post. :)
This works for Discussions Posts, Message Wall Posts, and Article Comments!
If anyone would like to try it out on this post, look for the "post history" button in the three vertical dot menu and see if you can find what was changed! :D
As for the other announcement.....
Two Factor Authentication is now live, as well!
This is a new step we have taken to help y'all keep your accounts safe. It isn't automatic, though, so if you want to opt-in to it, definitely feel free to check out the blog post.
For all of you, I have linked both blog posts in the text above explaining further about it! If anyone has any questions, suggestions, or reports for glitches, definitely feel free to mention them below! Have a blessed day!
Hello, I will be turning on the Wiki feature: Message Wall, sometime tonight. https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Help:Message_Wall
Hello, again.
Over the weeks I have been working on a set of help and template pages that will be for future editing of Producer and Album pages.
*Examples for producers are Alexei Ustinov (producer) and Ravalex (circle)
*Examples for albums are "Hot Stuff Dreams" and "Mesto Pod Solntsem"
The producer layout was lifted from the UTAU Lyrics wiki and created by User:Xuanmien.
I would hope that these guidelines, layouts and templates are easier for contributors to work with so that the wiki is more uniformed in appearance.
----
If user would like to help convert pages to the new layouts then please feel free to do so, but understand how everything works first using a User:Name/Sandbox to test how things will work out.
Just a heads up as to what is going to be happening while on my bot account. The pages titled "Song featuring VOCALOID_Name" will be moved to "VOCALOID_Name/Notable song list".
This will match "VOCALOID_Name/Original songs list" and make things easier to find. There will be some redlinks but I will correct that when I'm done page moving as I don't intend to leave-behind redirects.
So as you may have noticed, the wikia has been going through some visual updates and changes. And with that we have been looking to update our background image.
So for the background image did you think it should be just the characters, the logo, or both?

News
"WAIT, WHAT?? VocaloidOtaku.net is going to shut down??"
Unfortunately, according to Azureflux, it is. The forum site will stay up until April.
Since this wiki often uses VocaloidOtaku.net for references regarding a lot of things, I believe we should start archiving all of the VocaloidOtaku.net threads that have been used as references and sources as well as other VocaloidOtaku.net that may not have been as references or sources but contain useful information. Here is a list of threads that are in need of archiving. Keep in mind that this is not the full list. Therefore, it will be occasionally updated from time to time.
WARNING: The table is really long and will continue to grow longer day by day. Expand it at your own risk.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Some of these threads have a dramatic atmosphere or discuss issues or controversies that have occured. Please DO NOT go out of your way to harass or witchhunt anyone who have been involved.
Admittingly, I haven't tried archiving any webpage before. So if anyone of you has any links to any archived back-ups of the threads I have currently linked so far, feel free to post them here so I can add them. Additionally, feel free to post any links to VocaloidOtaku.net that contain useful information or you saw have been used references or sources in this wiki.
Oh. I recommend if you don't just archive the first page of each VocaloidOtaku.net thread, but all of the thread's pages.
The websites I am using to archive the threads are Wayback Machine and archive.is. I recommend trying them out if you haven't tried using them before.
Update Log
The following table below contains the update logs. Like the threads table, it is long and will continue to grow longer as each day passes. Once again, expand it at your own risk.

1st Place has just released some crossfade for the album IA/04 on their SoundCloud. I can't help but noticed that these tracks:
- https://soundcloud.com/1stplace/02-conqueror-song-by-sendra
- https://soundcloud.com/1stplace/03-song-by-koto-hamana-mes-kaido-sadaharu-yagi-edgar-hayao-konishi
- https://soundcloud.com/1stplace/04-life-love-peace-song-by-mondo-grosso
are (mostly) written in English and the pronunciations is practically impossible if the Japanese VB are used to mimic them (notice how IA pronounced the [@r]).
What do you guys think?
96neko I love you! And she sang it straight without cracking any jokes!
This is a copy of content for the wiki articles, "Mirai no Kimi to, Subete no Uta ni" / "Rin ga Utau, Mirai no Neiro". They are unofficial games release about Miku and Rin, their page contents have since been deleted.
I know the timing is bad, sorry.
Since the Vocaloid wiki's song and album pages are rapidly expanding every week, I wanted to know if now would be the time to start figuring out category ideas. I was planning on reducing the amount of steps needed to maintain a producer page, so that means retiring the "Infobox Song" and "Infobox discography".
The Vocaloid Lyrics wiki already does something like this, but since they do not have producer pages they link back to this wiki as their source.
Hi everyone, I'm not sure if Mistery already posted this, but Vsinger (Vocaloid China) and Zyon RhythmGame have collaborated~ Their page needs 10,000 likes before their official launch in October in order for the game to be free on Google Play and the App Store!
It's (obviously) a music rhythm game that will feature the Chinese Vocaloid songs along with the Chinese Vocaloid characters and the company's own original characters. From what I've seen of the development video, the graphics and design of the game are overall quite eyecatching, and they are planning to release it so that no internet connection is needed to play! Sweet!

For those who can translate or find informative links about Vocaloid development.
- Template:Derivatives(x4). This was created August 22, 2014, and the intention was to replace the Example of Usage template on the VOCALOID articles so that it prevents people from adding more songs than required, as you can see a number of times people end up adding six to eight songs on a EOU template before anyone can catch it. The most recent being with Zunko's section.
- Another reason is due to me wanting to tighten up the Examples of Usage section. Since there are people requesting more tabs (such as with the Kagamines), this will at least be easier to track.
- The Derivatives(x4) functions the same as Derivatives, only there are more parameters to deal with, however, it is easy to figure out because I used one digit for each parameter (i.e. 1, 2, 3, and 4). So they only go up to four.
- The additions are triggered by adding "x", and this is only for Nico, YouTube, and SoundCloud (for embed; thus optional), and Etc (which is uncommon to use).
- Each boxes color can change as one whole (using vcolor) or individually using its called parameters. By default they are all teal as Derivatives is shown to be.
- Each box can also switch its thumbnail. I removed the capitalized version of this to at least reduce the need for them.
- In relation to this, the parameter known as " icon " will need to be unused for the time being, as I haven't figured out how to set it correctly.

Much like I did with Music Work in Progress; the main WIP category is very jarring to look at, you don't know what specifically needs to be worked on unless you click. So I will sort out the Producer, Novels, and various whatevers so that everything goes into its own cat and has its own template. I hope this won't confuse anyone.
I will link the cats here when I am finished.
These can now be found in Category:Site maintenance.

ETA
- I moved Producer pages out of the "Outdated" category, given how many pages there are and depending on how active the producer is the information (mainly the content list) will always be outdated by some means. The ProducerWIP can state what needs to be done. Meanwhile, the Outdated category should be reserved for subject articles.
Using the layout from the MLP wiki, this page is here so that users can sandbox a song page on the fly.
Since there are appears to be more Contributors occasionally showing up, some that don't know how to use the user Talk page. I was thinking about turning on the Message Wall.
- How does it it work? - Similar to the Forums. A thread is created and whatever the subject the comments can be placed under it every time.
- - You can close a thread; unfollow; remove, edit etc.
Pros
- - Being alerted.
- - Able to carry on a discussion in one area of said Users wall.
- - Discussions are easy to spot and are sorted in ascending order. So new threads are always first.
- - Everything is dated, signed, and quotable. (IPs are revealed)
- - Long discussions will collapse under a "view replies" banner.
- - Pagenation when the Wall gets too long; basically it automatically archives.
- - It can take HTML, so if you have a fancy signature you want to use then you can.
Cons
- - Can be a cause of spam depending on how active a community is.
- - - I'm a part-time admin on the Adventure Time wiki and there are particular users who can go overboard with it, even just posting emotes to each other. This clogs up the RC thus making the feature (and reason for being on a wiki) pointless.
- - It is easily abused by malicious IP visitors. While threads can be deleted, there are some faults with the feature that make deleted content visible.
- - Besides your Message Wall top message, it is rather plain when it comes to customizing. And not every can figure out how to create a top message, though I can help.
- - Requires java, so if you have to been wondering the wiki with minimal features you notice you can't do much with features such as Comments, Forum, and Tabs etc.
- - If you don't mind the Notifications lighting up occasionally.
My primary concern is spam and me being too stubborn to use it much. There are times when I won't always be online. However, I am aware that contributors who are not into 'wiki editing' as much- do enjoy using it out of convenience.
This topic is just to gather feedback. So the Poll and Comments are not guarantees. I am still thinking of the benefits and disadvantages.
