Background

This song describes Miku introducing herself to the world. Though being known worldwide, the title Miku Miku ni Shite Ageru (I'll make you Miku-Miku-ed), as a denpa song, carries no specific point in Japanese and there are some disagreements about what these words say. The only fact is this term was derived from ぼこぼこにしてあげる boko boko ni shite ageru, which means I'll beat you up. One of the prevailing interpretations among Japanese fandom is I'll make you obsessed with Miku, conveying the idea that Miku strikes fans' hearts with her voice. Similar expressions are みくみくにされる Miku Miku ni sareru (I'm Miku-Miku-ed), フルみっくにされる furu Mikku ni sareru (I'm Miku-Miku-ed to the full extent) and so on. It is commonly said to a newcomer in the Vocaloid fandom as a welcome, or to make them a Vocaloid fan, replacing Miku with another Vocaloid name, implying that they will turn you into an overall Vocaloid fan. As of July 2012, the song is officially the most viewed Miku song (originial uploads) on Nico Nico Douga. Reaching almost 10 million views, it has overcome Melt, which only has half the views of that.

Piano sheet music appeared in the ピアノソロやさしくひけるボーカロイド Selection for Piano collection. This song has also appeared as sheet music in the Vocaloid Best selection series.

This song is featured in the Miku FES'09 Concert, the MikuPa Live in Singapore 2011 Concert, the MikuPa Live in Tokyo 2012 Concert, the MikuPa Live in Hong Kong and Taiwan 2012 Concert and the MikuPa Live in Kansai 2013 Concert; also in the games -Project DIVA-, -Project DIVA- 2nd, -Project DIVA- Arcade, Miku Flick/02 (DLC) and -Project DIVA- f (AR only).

Animelo ReBridge 2009

Animelo is an Anime-Central concert where songs from various animes are performed in a concert-like fashion. It was here that Miku appeared as a surprise in 2009. Not Only Miku came, but Rin and Len's Voice Provider, Asami Shimoda, sang Kokoro as a teaser for introducing Miku. Black★Rock Shooter followed Miku's appearance, along with its anime trailer.
