"apricot" is an original song produced and illustrated by iyowa, featuring Hatsune Miku.
While the song’s meaning is intentionally vague, many fans (including longtime iyowa listeners) interpret it as a story about a girl slowly growing up while longing for the simplicity and comfort of her childhood. She desperately wishes to return to those days when everything felt the same and unchanging—but ultimately, she realizes she must let go, even more painfully than before. The main character of the song is often nicknamed "Apricot-chan" (アプリコットちゃん) by fans, but her official name is "Rico" (リコ), confirmed through her appearance as a playable character in CHUNITHM LUMINOS PLUS Iyowa Collaboration Event.[1]
