“The first time I came into contact with Hatsune Miku was 15 years ago, when I was in elementary school. Anybody with a copy of the singing synthesizer software could join in the scene, which was a brand new concept and totally different from any music I had been listening to up until then. Imperfect, various, no face or name in the credits. The open margins and ruggedness excited me. I want to preserve this culture. I don’t want that excitement I felt back then to disappear. I want Hatsune Miku to provide a culture shock to someone again. There is value in music that nobody understands. "Culture" is an original song produced by Tsumiki featuring Hatsune Miku. It was commissioned to be the release song for the official Hatsune Miku YouTube Channels “39ch” renewal. The song was later uploaded to Crypton Future Media's official Niconico and bilibili channels.
A year later, Crypton Future Media launched a "#MikuChallenge" campaign for the Hatsune Miku Happy 16th Birthday Project. Part of this campaign includes three new PVs for this song: a Dance Performance Video, Miku singing the song with a red background behind her, and a Dance Practice Video.
The original video has exceeded 1 million views on YouTube, entered the Hall of Fame on Niconico, and exceeded 200,000 views on bilibili.
