Background[]
"Daidaidaidaidaikirai" is an original hybrid trap, EDM, glitchop, bass house song by Amala featuring VOCALOID Hatsune Miku and SynthesizerV Kasane Teto. The song explores the theme of rivalry but not simply in the sense of hatred, but in the inability to let go, even when both parties want to move on.
In both the song and its PV, The two main characters are Miku and Teto are portrayed as symbolic opposites: Miku as an angel and Teto as a devil (or fans called it an actual chimera). The two are locked in a competitive, video game-like battle, constantly trying to outdo each other in a bid to prove who is "better." Visual cues suggest that they were once friends but became rivals over time.
Rather than focusing solely on anger or resentment, the lyrics reflect a mutual obsession with "winning" the aftermath of their relationship; turning their breakup into a contest. However, their attempts are ultimately self-defeating, as neither is able to truly move on. Their rivalry becomes a cycle of toxic one-upmanship, driven more by emotional entanglement than genuine hatred.
The song entered the Hall of Legend and reached over 37 million YouTube views. Hence, this is Amala's most notable song and another Miku and Teto duet hit song.
