"POSITIVE VS NEGATIVE" also officially translated as "Positive club vs Negative club" is an original song by Wonderful☆Opportunity, feautring Kagamine Len and Kagamine Rin. It was made for the Kagamines' 10th anniversary.
The song tells a comedic, lighthearted story set in high school, where Len and Rin clash over their opposing ideals. Len proudly champions positivity and optimism as the leader of the Positive Club, while Rin claims to represent negativity and pessimism. However, Rin’s so-called Negative Club doesn’t actually have any members, leaving her more of a bystander than a leader. Much of the song unfolds through playful banter, as Len repeatedly encourages Rin to join his club, seeing the potential in her, while Rin stubbornly refuses—leading to a series of hijinks between the two.
During the bridge, Rin reveals that she is not truly pessimistic about life. Rather, she wants to keep her expectations in check and carries some deep regrets. At this moment, she bursts out with the frustrated question: "So whose fault is it that I’m not cute?! ( 可愛くないのは…だれのせいよ！)" Len playfully responds, "You’re not 'not' cute☆. (かわいくなくないぜ)". Rin Flustered and embarrassed, she lashes out, but he then clarifies that from what he really said is that she really is cute.
In the end, Len playfully wins their exchange, not through force or persuasion, but by outsmarting Rin with nothing more than a clever double negative and seemingly in the end, Rin joins the club.
