Background[]
Hikari is a song by KANON69 featuring Megurine Luka and the Utaite luz. This is the fifth song of the Royal Scandal song series, and officially listed as "Episode 4". The song was originally released in mid-2017 as part of luz's 3rd album Reflexion. luz's version was released on his YouTube channel shortly after the Luka version.
The song focuses on Lewis, the boy the protagonist Chelsea is in love with, and his lonely childhood until Chelsea came into his life, acting as his "light".
Throughout the song's PV, it can be seen that Lewis lived a life as a poor orphaned child. He can be seen riffling through a garbage dump, where he finds a book and the winged heart key. As he finds it he begins to run from a man with a stick who seems to be after him. Behind the man is Harvey, a mysterious man in a rabbit mask. The man with a stick eventually catches Lewis and beats him, throwing him in a dungeon cell. Lewis then thinks back to all his abuse. Then, Kevin the master of Bar Masquerade comes to the cell and takes Lewis to the bar. A young Chelsea can be seen watching him and Kevin. The two children can then be seen standing under a pink blossoming tree at the end of the song.
