Background[]
"Kimi ga Sora Koso Kanashikere" is a song featuring Tone Rion by HoneyWorks. It is HoneyWorks' 17th published work and their first work to feature Tone Rion.
The compilation album features Tone Rion's vocals only while the solo album features the version uploaded to Niconico.
The video starts with a young man visiting his older brothers grave telling him he was able to deliver a letter finally. We see the young solider who entrusts his infant brother with the letter to deliver to the soldiers girlfriend. The solider says goodbye to his girlfriend he knows that it is a one-way trip. In his final moments while flying his plane he reminisces about his time with her and the moment he fell in love, holding a picture of her.
The solider's brother, now an adult, finds the letter he was entrusted with as an infant and delivers it to the soldier's girlfriend in the sunflower field where they fell in love. The note asks her to smile amongst the beautiful scenery.
We see the soliders plane getting shot down by battleships and the slightly chard picture he carried floating in the ocean. Then back to the older girlfriend in the field crying and then further back to to when they were younger showing a scene similar to the one where the solider fell in love, but with the roles reversed implying it was the moment she fell in love with him.
