Background[]

DECO*27's first work using GUMI. It only took four days for this song to reach the Hall of Fame, and two months for it to reach the Hall of Legend.

On April 20, 2010, the Coward Montblanc music videos could be purchased for ¥400 in the iTunes store, while the song itself could be purchased for ¥150.

A common interpretation of the song is of a girl, too cowardly to speak about her feelings, which makes a comparison to a mont blanc. Many suspect that this song is connected to DECO*27's other hit "Mozaik Role", as GUMI appears in her uniform. The songs also both share the same composer, lyricist, illustrator, and singer.

15 years after the song's original upload, DECO*27 would upload a new version of the song as part of his "Reloaded" series, now sung by Hatsune Miku. This version features a new arrangement, changed lyrics, and a new PV animated by OTOIRO. The Reloaded version has exceeded 100,000 views on bilibili.
