Background[]
"Hair Swept Back By Gale-Force Winds" is a J-pop song composed by Yukopi and sung by Kaai Yuki. It's a humourous a song simply about Yuki going against Gale-force strong winds but knowing she could not really make it, with her hair kept swept'ing back due to this powerful wind.
The song exploded in popularity around 2 weeks after its initial upload, entering the Hall of Fame and reaching 1 million YouTube views.
This popularity made the song stay at the number 1 spot of the Weekly VOCALOID Ranking for 9 consecutive weeks, being the first song in history to do so and surpassing the previous record held by DECO*27 "Ghost Rule" and "Otome Dissection" (with 4 consecutive weeks)
Subsequently, the song entered the Hall of Legend and reached 10 million YouTube views on May 5th 2023. It is Kaai Yuki's most popular song on YouTube and one of the most viewed songs sung by a Voice Synth on the platform.
On November 2, 2024, "Kyoufuu All Back" exceeded over 100 million YouTube views, becoming the first Kaai Yuki song to surpass this milestone and the fifth song overall if to include "Shoujo A". It is currently the fourth most viewed official upload of a VOCALOID song (behind "ECHO", Goodbye Sengen and "Aishite Aishite Aishite").
