"Seiten o Ugatsu" is an original song by Kasamura Tota featuring Mew.
The song tells a story about someone who is desperate and emotional plea from someone who’s deeply in love with a person struggling with self-worth, loneliness, or depression with also themes about the blue skies.
The speaker in the lyrics is frustrated because no matter how much they try to express their feelings, the person they care about keeps shutting them out, ignoring the love being offered. Despite that, the speaker wants to stay by their side no matter what, even scolding them as an "idiot" (or "dumbass") but in an affectionate way. It’s a raw, emotional declaration of love, frustration, and determination they want to share the burden, heal the wounds, and promise they’ll be together as inseparable "partners in crime" for life.
It has entered the Hall of Legend and exceeded over 3 million YouTube views, it also became the most known Mew song to ever known.
