"Xiāngsī Fù" is an original song by Wing Yi and Liujia featuring Yuezheng Ling.
The song tells the yearning for a separated significant other from a lover's point of view. The narrator finds it ironic that once upon a time, they promised to follow each other no matter life or death. She exclaims over how it was as if yesterday that they were together as an enviable loving couple, and today she is alone, pitied by no one. The pleasant times are to her like flowers bound to wither, unable to endure the faltering of time. As time passes by, she grows afraid of reminiscing the old times. Dreams of the past trigger her lovesickness, which only renders her anxiety to worsen, and there is no solution to it. The amount of sentiments, as a result, troubles her so much as to make her conclude that their encounter was a misfortune, haunting her for the rest of her life. Thinking about her parted lover makes her sleepless and she ends up drinking, waiting alone for he who will never return. She could not help but wonder whether their encounter and their farewell were fortunate or not. Nightmares due to her lovesickness haunt her in the long nights, and she wakes up only to find herself alone with her eyes wet, with no one there to accompany her and view the moon with her. After so many years of yearning, she sighs, as she was not fortunate enough to reunite with him but remain a widow. She thus concludes that their encounter was a misfortune to last in perpetuity, lifetime after lifetime. Upon her death in solitude, she repents ever falling in love with her lover––calling the mortal world far too cruel for her enduring love––and states that it is time to finally end this all.
