Background[]
Watashi wa Futari no Oiwai ni is the third and final song in Sister's Story, a series by masa.
Continuing off of the previous song, Amaterasu attempts to fend off her confusion of her true identity by assuring herself that she's always been herself and not her deceased sister, Tsukuyomi. However, to further her confusion further again, Tsukuyomi's spirit returns and inspirits Amaterasu, causing Amaterasu's hairstyle to be half her original, unaltered hairstyle and half Tsukuyomi's- the hairstyle she had sported for years so as to pass as her sister. This event pushes Amaterasu over the edge and causes her to wholly believe that she was actually her older sister, Tsukuyomi, all along, and that Amaterasu was the one who died years ago in an attempt to kill Tsukuyomi herself.
Later that same day, during the dead of night, "Tsukuyomi" hears a shrill, disembodied cry with the voice of her dead sister "Amaterasu". The same cry can then be heard emitting directly from her abdomen. "Tsukuyomi", reaching the peak of her paranoia, is then convinced that her "younger sister's" spirit has returned to attempt to kill her again, and she spears herself in the abdomen in an attempt to remove the malignant spirit. As she lays dying from the bleeding wound, she realizes the truth again- she, disguised as her sister for years, was still truly Amaterasu despite her appearance and the murdered Tsukuyomi had done all she could as a spirit to confuse her into losing her identity.[1]
