"Taketori Overnight Sensation" is HoneyWorks' 9th published original VOCALOID work, with an utaite version uploaded a day after the Kagamine version's upload. The song is accompanied by a humorous PV, which in some cases clashes with the song's serious lyrics. The panda bears from "Suki Kirai" representing Rin and Len make cameos during the fight in the MMD portion of the video.
This song was originally commissioned for the compilation album BabyPod ~VocaloidP × Utaite collaboration collection~, sung by the utaites Soraru and Lon. The VOCALOID version of this song is found on HoneyWorks' albums Rokugen Astrology and Zutto Mae Kara Suki Deshita.. It is also featured on the album Yoen Waso Emaki'.
This song entered the Hall of Fame on October 3, 2012. It later entered the Hall of Legend.
