Background[]
"Noushou Sakuretsu Girl" is an original acid jazz song by rerulili featuring Hatsune Miku and GUMI. It was uploaded to YouTube on September 12, 2013. The song is somewhat confusing in terms of meaning, although it could well talk about radioactivity in mobile phones, which are said to cause cancer among other things.
In Web Comic COMIC@LOID Volume 1, "Noushou Sakuretsu Girl" gets a serialization. The theme tells about a girl named Noka, who prostitutes herself to pay for dance and singing lessons. At the beginning, the black-haired girl is seen walking down a corridor where there are several girls locked in rooms with transparent walls. Some time after she started her job, several of her classmates began to speak ill of her, insult her and they even throw garbage at her, as it turns out that the boyfriend of one them saw her in Gotanda, hinting that she works in the "sex industry", but then Saori (a popular girl with talent to be an actress) arrives and defends her. After they both go to have tea, Saori tells her about the rumors and that her debut is near. Noka goes back to having a "date" with another man. Sex scenes are shown but are not explicit.
A movie of the same name was also made, based on the song. However, it is a stand-alone adaptation and not an adaptation of the serialization mentioned above.
This song has entered the Hall of Myths and exceeded 80 million YouTube views. Hence, this is rerulili's most notable songs, one of the most popular VOCALOID duets, and one of the most popular VOCALOID songs of all time.
The "cover" version, featuring Kagamine Rin and Megurine Luka, was uploaded to celebrate the first one million views on NicoNico. Subsequently, the 2015 ver. was published to celebrate the original version reaching 4 million views on NicoNico. Both versions have entered the Hall of Fame.
