Background[]
"Song for Summer" is an official E.P. featuring YANHE's VOCALOID and ACE Virtual Singer Beta libraries. It was made for her character birthday and 10th anniversary, and is her fifth official solo compilation.
Plans for the E.P. were revealed on June 16, 2023. Vsinger announced that they would be selecting three original songs that were uploaded and participated in the "#Vsinger创作激励计划#" (#Vsinger Creative Work Incentive Plan#) and the "#言和十周年生日快乐#" (#YANHE's 10th Anniversary Happy Birthday#) tags. These songs would be included in the E.P. along with their own official birthday song submission. Original songs that were submitted between the announcement date and July 20 were eligible to be picked, though rules and regulations were applied.[1] In the final release, five songs were selected and did not include Vsinger's official song, "Tīng Wǒ Yī Yán", due to its inclusion in the previous album release "Listen to Yan!", allowing for YANHE to receive two compilations in total for her tenth anniversary.[2]
