Background[]
"Shikisai Denki" is an original song by Mushi-P featuring Hatsune Miku. It is his most notable song.
The song is somewhat vague and there are multiple theories about it. The most literal one, which is also depicted in the video, is that it's about a creature/monster that gains color from consuming the objects and environment that it comes across. One day, while wondering how it could finally acquire the color yellow, it notices a small child wearing a yellow rain coat and quickly runs to devour it. Instead of the yellow color becoming part of itself, its body becomes completely drenched in the color of blood, which leads to the creature breaking down and regretting its actions.
Another common theory is that it is about a person who has an innocent mind gets influenced by others around them. Eventually the person ends up making a big mistake, leading to them regretting their actions and wanting to go back to being their former and innocent self.
It has entered the Hall of Fame and exceeded 3 million views on YouTube.
