"Machi" is an original song by jon-YAKITORY featuring Hatsune Miku. It was commissioned for the unit Vivid BAD SQUAD from the game Project SEKAI COLORFUL STAGE! feat. Hatsune Miku.
With a nostalgic tone, it describes the love the members of Vivid BAD SQUAD have for their city. It's based on the event story "The Vivid Old Tale," which has Shiraishi An reminisce to a time in her childhood when she felt unwanted by her father and the people of her city. By the end, they remind her that she is loved, and she exclaims that she loves the people of the city in return. The other members of Vivid BAD SQUAD give their reasons for loving the city in the side stories. It gave Aoyagi Toya a partner in Shinonome Akito and a place to call home when he had nothing else, Shinonome Akito a dream to aspire to after he lost his original dream, and allowed Azusawa Kohane to meet An and fall in love with street music.
jon-YAKITORY's own music video tells a different story, as it depicts a girl remembering a dispute that she had with a close friend which ends in tears. Ice cream appears throughout the video representing the close bond between them, with the fallen ice cream shown near the beginning symbolizing the bond has been severed. After reminiscing on good times together, the girl buys ice cream and has a chance to meet with her former friend, who laughs shyly after seeing her. The girl laughs with her, and they enjoy their ice cream together, suggesting that their friendship has been mended.
It has reached the Hall of Fame and exceeded 1 million views on YouTube.
