“Just what is evil?”
Shinon no Tokeitou (Handbeat Clocktower) is the seventh song in Story of Evil.
Kyle Marlon (KAITO) is on his way to face his mother, Prim Marlon (Prima) for the evil she's caused. He thinks back on how she ruined his childhood and started all the madness. He then thinks about the one woman with evil intentions who's evil was ripped in seven and all was beginning to fall apart since then. Yukina Freezis(Yuki) assures him that the right way hasn't disappeared yet. Together they announce the curtain call for Story of Evil and Kyle swears that he won't hesitate any longer, even if he has to turn the blade towards his sister, Ney (Neru).
Kyle begs for someone to tell him the definition of "Evil" and admits that he's tired of being depressed and Yukina tells him she'll pray for the rain to end. Kyle confronts his sister, to find that she's gone mad and transforms with with the help of the Demon of Gluttony. With that, she overpowers Kyle and strikes to kill him, but Germaine intervenes and defeats her. Kyle rushes to the top of the clocktower, only to find that his mother has already been killed.
This song was first released on Aku no Yongakusou ～Aku no Musume Novel Gakkyoku Shuu～ and was later featured on the album Nemesis no Juukou.
This song has entered the Hall of Fame.
