"Yami no Kanata" is Satoimo's 38th work and first work with Merli. Satoimo originally intended for it to be for Lily, but instead challenged himself to use Merli, tuning her as though she was a dark or mature append of Lily.. The song has a latinesque feel, with drums, percussion, an acoustic guitar, and a piano for the background music and a lilting melody that showcases the adaptability of Merli's voice. The song one of the most popular Merli songs on Nicovideo, its view count only outmatched by the finalized demo of her voicebank.
This song is featured on Jewel Box Vol. 3, along with a version featuring Lily instead of Merli.
