Background[]
"Jeogyeoksu Inhyeong" is an original song featuring UNI by WyvernP. The song is mostly known for it's ambiguous story.
The story of this song centers on a stuffed Rabbit (referred to as a "Doll" in the official translation) holding a sniper rifle, aiming at a stray child with the appearance of a Girl. The lyrics begin from the Rabbit's perspective as it observes the Girl through its scope, preparing to shoot. However, when the chorus arrives, the perspective shifts to the Girl. She urges the Rabbit to kill her, reassuring it that "it won't hurt." Yet, the true implications of her words remain uncertain.
The second verse returns to the Rabbit's viewpoint, revealing its deep-seated grudge against the Girl. Despite its intent, the Rabbit hesitates and cannot pull the trigger, even as the Girl weeps within its sights. The second chorus echoes the Girl's earlier plea, reinforcing her strange acceptance of her fate. The setting of the song is described as a "red glowing mountain," where the Rabbit remains motionless, focused on its target.
The bridge shifts back to the Rabbit as it quietly watches the Girl. Its grudge lingers, and after a prolonged moment of observation and hesitation, the Rabbit finally closes its eyes and shoots, killing the Girl.
In the final chorus, the dying Girl reassures the Rabbit once more, urging it not to cry and to leave quickly to live its own life. She seems to have anticipated her death and accepts it with a sense of peace. In the end, the Rabbit, overwhelmed with grief, apologizes to the Girl and seemingly departs as she requested.
The PV features a "film grain" effect during the Girl's choruses, hinting that the Rabbit and the Girl may have planned this event before this ever happened. However, their motivations and the reasons behind their actions remain ambiguous, leaving the interpretation open to the listener.
Since it's upload, it has garnered some resurgence of 100,000 views in under five months and in June 2020, the song reached 1,000,000 views. Hence, it was only the most notable WyvernP song and also one of UNI's notable songs.
