Akatsuki Luci (あかつき るき, Akatsuki Ruki) is an upcoming Japanese VOCALOID announced to be developed by the Yamaha Corporation in collaboration with Virtual Singer or "Vsinger",[note 1] Live2D modeler, illustrator, and multi-creator of the same name, Akatsuki Luci, who has applied for a crowdfunding campaign for an AI voicebank (for which she is expected to be the voice provider) for the VOCALOID6 engine through the latter's new VOCALOID FAN-ding initiative.[2]
Concept[]
Akatsuki Luci, as a Virtual Singer, is a devil who wants to become an angel someday. While also active as a multi-creator producing Live2D animations and illustrations, she is energetically pursuing her career as a Vsinger. To become an angel someday, she joyfully creates something new every day.[3]
Etymology[]
Her name is based upon that of her voice provider whom she shares the same name of.

2025[]
On November 25, 2025, Yamaha launched the VOCALOID FAN-ding initiative, a collaboration with Japanese crowdfunding platform CAMPFIRE where Yamaha plays a support role in crowdfunding projects for future VOCALOID voicebanks.[5] After Adachi Rei was announced as the first vocal to be crowdfunded under this new program, two other prospective vocals were also announced to be applying to VOCALOID FAN-ding; one of them was Akatsuki Luci, an AI voicebank based on the voice of the homonymous virtual YouTuber.[6][7] The VTuber talked further about the "Akatsuki Luci VOCALOID-ization Project" on one of her livestreams.[8]
On December 14, the Akatsuki Luci crowdfunder's page went live on CAMPFIRE under the title "VOCALOID FAN-ding Vol.2, VSinger Akatsuki Luci's VOCALOID-ization Project" (VOCALOID FAN-ding Vol.2 VSinger あかつきるきさんのボカロ化プロジェクト). The crowdfund was set to start on December 19 at 21:00 Japanese Standard Time (JST)[9] and end on Februry 22, 2026. A concept rough drawing of Akatsuki Luci's VOCALOID design, illustrated by Hidari, was shown on the crowdfund page; a concept mockup of her physical boxart was also shown.[10]
