“The idea when making this song was to do something very J-pop and kz/8#Prince-ish. I wrote the verse in that sort of style and it had super-duper happy lyrics, but then I had a hard time coming up with the chorus. When I had an idea for what the chorus should sound like, I made the chorus and the lyrics for that are what you see here. It went in a totally different direction than the verse and contrasted with the lyrics of the verse, but I was really happy with the chorus, so I rewrote the verse lyrics, and now you have a bit of lyrical dissonance going on, and I think that's okay.”
