ABOUT PRODUCER | |||||||||||
Dixie Flatline (ジェミニの人, Gemini no Hito) is a music producer skilled at composing relaxing electronica ballads, hip-hop, and R&B. His first song, "Gemini", brought him to fame in the Vocaloid community; his popularity has remained stable since then, thanks to the success of songs such as "Sweetie x 2", "Juvenile", and "Answer". "Just Be Friends" is his biggest hit; the original Niconico upload has accumulated over 2.5 million views, and a reprint of it on YouTube currently has over 10 million views.
His name comes from a character in a favorite novel of his, "Neuromancer", by William F. Gibson. The name "Yeheyuan" also comes from the work of Gibson. Though he is called the "Gemini no Hito" (person of Gemini), it is only because of the popularity of his song "Gemini"; he is actually a Virgo. Dixie Flatline resided in New York for some time to pursue his music career but went back to Japan when it didn't work out. He was a guest at the Mirai no Neiro panel at Anime Expo 2012, where he debuted his new song, "Answer", and gave a speech about his career. He has an English twitter account. | |||||||||||
