Background[]

"fake doll" is an synthpop song by Hachioji-P (8#Prince) and sung by Hatsune Miku. It is accompanied by an MMD PV produced by popular motion artist Wakamura-P.

In the song, Miku feels that she is putting on an act for an individual ("you"), being in essence a fake doll. Although she is afraid to and knows there will be consequences, she wants the individual to know her true feelings and discover who she really is.

"fake doll" has entered the Hall of Fame. On the Weekly Vocaloid Ranking, it peaked at the eighth spot, during week #256. It was released as a split single with kz and Hachioji-P's collaboration song "Weekender Girl", along with the instrumentals of both tracks. "fake doll" is also featured in Hachioji-P's album electroll and ViVid WAVE.
