Released on December 27, 2007, Kagamine Rin/Len (鏡音リン・レン, Kagamine Rin/Len?) is the second installment of the Vocaloid Character Vocal Series, a brother (Len) and sister (Rin) twin pair. Their family name was chosen by combining Kagami (鏡, Mirror?), Ne (音, Sound?), with the first syllables of their given names a pun on "Left" and "Right". According to Vocaloid's official blog, the package includes two voice banks: one for Rin and another for Len, both provided by the seiyū Asami Shimoda. Despite the double voice banks, the package still sells at the same price as Hatsune Miku.

On June 12, 2008, Crypton announced the updated edition, named "act2", will be released in early July 2008. Users who had bought the old version will get a expansion disc free of charge. On June 18, 2008, beta demonstration songs using the new version were released on the company's official blog.

[1] 悪ノ娘 (daughter of evil) sung by Rin

                     In daughter of evil, Rin is a very evil girl and the queen of a kingdom. Len is her twin brother who serve her as servant (unknown why) 
                     Her Love is a man of blue (KAITO) in other side of the sea but his love is the princess of green in the neighbouring country (Miku). Rin
                     is jealous of miku and starts a war with the country of green seeking to ruin it. Len kills miku on Rin's orders making kaito very mad. 
                     he teams up with a "woman of red armour' (MEIKO) and they head towards the castle with the angry citizens. Rin is then caught and executed.

[2] 悪ノ召使 (servant of evil) sung by Len

                     In servant of evil (which is told from Len's point of view during the events of daughter of evil), Rin is a again very evil girl and the queen of a kingdom.
                     Len is her twin brother who serve her as servant. They are both very very close to each other. One day when they were visiting another country. Len fell
                     in love with the woman of green (miku) Rin got jealous and selfishly order Len to kill her. When Kaito and Meiko are storming the castle, Len puts on 
                     Rin's clothes and tells Rin to put on his and that they are going to switch places. Len is taken away and is executed in rin's place with rin in the audience watching.

[3] リグレットメッセージ (message of regret) sung by Rin

                     In message of regret, rin is regretting what she has done. Because of her own selfishness that Len was killed. She went to the beach and saw the wish messages 
                     in the bottles that her and Len threw into the ocean when they were very young. Rin message says "be with Len forever" and Len message says "Rin to always be 
                     happy." Rin then make another wish "If we could be reborn I want to be with you again" (this is also Len's wish before he die)...

[4] ココロ (KOKORO) (HEART/MIND) sung by Rin

                     In KOKORO, Rin is a robot made by a lonely scientist. But she is missing something that can't be made a program, a heart and mind(kokoro means both heart and mind)
                     she is left alone and a few hundred years pass, and she wants to know what the person who made her was working on until till the end of his life. It turns out that he was
                     working on a kokoro for her. she installs it and a bunch of feelings burst out and she sings all of her feelings towards the person who created her. 
                     

[5] ココロ・キセキ (KOKORO・ KISEKI) (HEART/MIND・MIRACLE) sung by Len

                      KOKORO KISEKI is told from Len's side(he's the scientist that made Rin) Len Is a scientist in this and he makes a robot (rin) but realises that she is missing something that
                      can't be made, which is a kokoro (heart/mind) he wants to teach her happiness and sadness like humans feel. He starts working on making one and time passes by. but 
                      KOKORO is a program that will run on for eternity Except there is one condition to load. If it were not (based) on what is called "INOCHI(LIFE)", finite base It seems it won't
                      be allowed to run. For him time isn't infinite but she still doesn't understand. Then he receives a message from Rin in the future, and it's the song she sang that has her feelings
                      toward Len.
