"marco polo" is an original song produced by CircusP featuring KAITO. Writing for the song began in September 2021, with hyperpop music being the inspiration for the music. A public poll was later created to see who would sing the song with VOCALOIDs such as KAITO, AVANNA, Hatsune Miku, and Synthesizer V vocal Shian being considered. KAITO won the poll and the song featuring his vocals was distributed exclusively to CircusP's Patreon followers approximately six months prior to the song's official upload. CircusP also made an alternate version featuring SeeU.[1]
