  • Hello, I'm currently writing an article on Kamui on my wiki...

Where is find the article that states she is not a VOCALOID?

  • Hi! I had a question about how you handle Special:Wantedfiles. Is it okay to remove non-existing files on user profiles/sub pages of them? Example being User_blog:NiceTheSickestGamer/Introducing_Me.

    • Hello. I usually go through to clear out redlinks when I have the time. They are okay to remove except for "File:File.png" and "File:img" as these link to preloads and sandboxes.

    • Neat. Thanks for clarifying that!

  • Hey! Jadium here and I am checking to see how things are doing for you and the community. Has anything in particular come up that needs attention or any type of request that you would like looked into? A note that you may inquire anything related to staff assistance.

I hope things are doing okay and I am happy to help or just listen to feedback!

    • I am currently on a semi-hiatus but things are fine.

And my concern would be with FANDOM policies affecting mature content that we ourselves are still having internal disagreements with.

To use The Witcher wiki as a notable example. The FANDOM version was informed to 'censor' and delete anything involving mature acts, images, and content. This resulted in users moving to Gamepedia which had its own set of guidelines that were more flexible. But now Gamepedia's TOU is directed to Wikia/FANDOM's TOU without any context as to what has changed.

    • That is good things are going fine so far, and no problem on the hiatus part!

To address mature content on Fandom, I can say that is mostly a case by case basis. It is true that Fandom has recently tweaked their policy to host more appropriate content for all audiences. In regards to this wiki in particular, there would have to be some examples given in order to give an accurate stance on it. So what may happen on another wiki with mature content, may not be the same case for another wiki with possibly similar content.

I can definitely look into it with examples given if you are comfortable and let you know what the stance is. For certain, it is an inevitable situation that will come up in the future. It would be good to look into it now.

  • Sorry to bother you, but how do you put links into the placeholder rows? I tried using the template like on the song pages, but it keeps putting the website name instead of just the little icon, so it doesn't match the other rows. Is there a way to make it only show the icon without using a long string of formatting? I just don't want to accidentally break everything like I did last time-

  • I explain why I removed the condition.

On articles that feature the song box and which have a comment for the links (unavailable, deleted etc), the song page presents the error category because it asks for if it contains "small" or not. I think the "small" is elsewhere than in the template, and if it's in the css, it's not something I can correct.

So either the condition has to be removed, either slightly modified and the place the "small" beacon was inserted a bit updated.

And forgot, this happens even if the page has the correct infobox...

I let you see what happens? :)

EDIT: This is probably caused by the template L which integrates a "small" beacon for the comment... You might want look at that. But currently, the condition that was in Song info box 2 is not working as we expect it. Currently, it tags all the pages for which there is a comment in this template. Good luck for the work out :/

  • Hello! Fandom is currently hosting an official giveaway and your wiki has been selected to participate. Would you allow this giveaway here and may Fandom staff create a blog or discussion post regarding this? Additionally, would it be fine if a banner on the main page was temporarily added for this giveaway?

If you have any specific questions on this, please let me know. We hope that you and the community will participate to earn some awesome gifts!

    • It's fine by me, thanks for commenting. I am currently taking a break however.

  • On the Piapro Studio Wiki, I have successfuly been able to add a colored text template. We are still having issues with the template themes for character pages (an example would be Rin and Len's VOCALOID page theme color set as yellow). I tried to look at this Wiki's template for help but it was not much use. I ended up contacting Community Central Forums(blue text is my thread link) about the issue, and they were kind enough to help me. I am just not sure as to where the code for the theme goes. I understand that there should be a template too, but with seperate templates I thought I would need to add the template creating code in there.

In the code editor, I also attempted to put the theme text in the name section, and that did not work (Possibly due to there being no existing template). Anything else I tried resulted in breaking the infobox whenever I previewed changes. If there is anything you could do to help solve the issue, it would be appriciated.

    Thanks.

    • I attempted to input the code after what I typed in my previous comment, and theinfobox was broken. (I was incorrect about the other boxes not using the standard synth infobox though so I at least figured that out.)

      I tried to place <infobox theme-source="theme" theme="default">
in it's own group, that also did not work.
At this point, it would most likely be better if someone else
could input the text. Thanks for helping me; I just think that
this problem is something I cannot comprehend well. (It might
be worth it for me to purchase a book on CSS/HTML coding in the
      future.)

Thank you very much. Though it has been challenging for me to
sort this out, I have learned a lot.

    • So far, thank you for sorting everything out in the infoboxes and pages.

The themes are still not coming up though, even after I replaced the insert in the MediaWiki code.

It's formatted correctly, but still not showing up.

Tried to introduce the PS's paneling system to images only for each infobox. I'm not interested in introducing the software paneling from PS wiki I ut there, because there is too many releases and I can do the mascot images... But not software. And we have entire pages dedicate to the software so no need for it being on the infobox. For the PS wiki, its because we actually have no reason to cover Vocaloid releases, so we needed the paneling for past software.

  • Whatever happened to the Relationship and background pages on the Answers wiki when it shut down?

I wanted to make this page go live here and I forgot where they got put here... Theres no rush, I've got work to do at the PS wiki for now thats going to consume a lot of my spare editing time I set aside. So some things are at the back of the list of things I've got to do. Same with Tutorials, their now behind the PS wiki setting up.
