The PIAPRO CHARACTERS SUPER PACK (ピアプロキャラクターズ・スーパーパック) was announced as a set of six Japanese VOCALOIDs featuring retuned and refined editions of the VOCALOID3 and VOCALOID4 (V4X) vocals of the Piapro Characters MEIKO, KAITO, Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin & Len, and Megurine Luka in one pack. The SUPER PACK features newly tuned vocals and improved balance of pronunciation and vocal tone. Users are enabled to simply enter the lyrics and melody and can enjoy crisp singing voices. In addition, parameters such as clarity and gender factor can be easily adjusted, allowing for detailed customization of the singing voice. The vocal editor Piapro Studio, specifically the Piapro Studio for V4X edition, and music production software Cubase LE are also included, encouraging users to start making music right away. It was announced to be developed and distributed by Crypton Future Media, Inc. on July 2, 2024 to be released on August 30, 2024 as packaged and download editions.
Pre-orders were opened on SONICWIRE for the digital edition and 3rd-party retailers for the physical packaged edition the same day. It should be noted that the set only includes the vocalists' base Japanese voicebanks and that the packaged version does not include a DVD. Users will be able to download the voicebanks from the official SONICWIRE website.[1][2][3]
The pack was also announced alongside a VOCALOID6 AI voicebank for Hatsune Miku as well as a new update for Hatsune Miku NT. The PIAPRO CHARACTERS SUPER PACK was released on August 30, 2024 as expected, receiving three additional demonstrations.[4]
Appearance[]
According to the official illustrator iXima, the SUPER PACK edition references elements of each virtual singer's older editions, specifically that of the VOCALOID3 and VOCALOID4 editions, and were drawn in the same direction, with the designs illustrated very similar to the original costumes, giving the impression of "something new but not out of place".[5][6]
