This is a guideline policy for articles featured on the VOCALOID Wiki. While participation is encouraged it is requested that you first understand and follow these guidelines or refrain from editing.
Original songs list exist to organize and display songs by each VOCALOID, in addition to duets, trios, and group songs.
The basics[]
Song list preload templates[]
{{Original song list/preload}}
Song list page naming[]
Every song list page will be titled as the vocalist's name followed by "/Original songs list", with some exceptions given. E.g. IA/Original songs list.
Song list intro[]
For pages that feature a vocalist the templates {{Vocaloid Software Usage}} and {{Vocaloid Software Usage/Lists}} will be used.
Linkage[]
For every page that is featured it will use the {{SongID}} template.
Organization[]
The pages are organized by alphabetized sections: Songs should be sorted by their original title but with their romanization taken into consideration.
- A song titled "별 (Byeol)", will go in the ===B=== section not the ===S=== section due to translation of its title, "Star".
- To be eligible for a list a song must include usage of VOCALOID. Originals are preferred and self-covers are acceptable.
- Every song list page will use the {{Music directory}} box at the bottom of the page.
Tips to consider[]
- Always try and link to official uploads when available. This means linking an upload by the original producers rather then an unauthorized reprints. And any linkage to POCALOID or other illegal software usage is prohibited.
- Do Not remove original works from the song lists. Any history of VOCALOID usage is vital to its history.
- If an original song is no longer available to the public then add (deleted) or (unlisted) etc. next to the song title. If the producer wants it removed only then can it be removed.
- Visiting producers are allowed to add or request that their works be added to a song list. This is to deter creating page and inexperienced edits on mainspace pages.
- Fanloids (Fanmade Vocaloid) entries are discouraged. The exceptions are that it is prominently stated which of the VOCALOID voicebanks used.
- Such as officially recognized derivatives: Yowane Haku, Akita Neru, Sakine Meiko which use Hatsune Miku and MEIKO's voicebank respectively.
