These vocals work with the PC and Mac versions of VOCALOID Editor for Cubase (vers. 4.5 only). They are also compatible with VOCALOID:AI technology. VOCALOID6 vocals are capable of using the "Multilingual" function, which allowed lyrics to be sung in a mixture of Japanese, English, and Mandarin Chinese using a single voicebank regardless of the recorded base language. Classification of multiple base languages is determined by a company's description of the product, confirmed recorded training materials, and/or separate releases.

These vocals worked within the VX-β digital audio workstation (DAW) VST3/AU plug-in voice synthesis engine included within the VOCALOID β-STUDIO research studio.
