On July 18, 2024, the same day GekiyakuV and KazehikiV were released for the VOCALOID6 engine, Yamaha Corporation announced that Ci-chan, And Uge, Kanade Kanon, and Kasukabe Tsumugi –all of them based on Virtual YouTubers who received prototype releases on the VOCALOID β-STUDIO VX-β engine– would be receiving voicebanks for the VOCALOID6 engine as well. And Uge's voicebank, to be named simply "Uge", was announced to also be releasing as a voicebank for the VX-β engine's final release[1] (although later on this would be reworked to simply let VX-β accept V6 voicebanks rather than requiring separate new VX-β ones). The release date was initially set to around the winter of 2024.[2] The information was also confirmed by her voice provider, And Uge.[3]
On December 23, Uge's voicebank icon was officially unveiled along with the release date set for January 15, 2025. Pricing for both standalone and Starter Pack options were also announced. Also, her first demo song was announced to go public the same day at 20:00 JST.[4]
