Yo, first blog post!
Anyway, I didn't really feel like posting my opinion on flower's page, since there was a massive firestorm.
Quickly, I'll state my opinion before going elsewhere with this. Basically, I like the new design, I was just a little disappointed because of her hair. Not because she now looks like a boy, but because her hair was her defining trait and super cool and now it's gone. That's my only complaint, and I'm sure I'll learn to live with it.
Apparently, people are saying "girls should look like girls". That's ridiculous. Girls should be allowed to wear whatever hair (and clothes) they want. There are about three girls in the grade ahead of me who wear their hair short like boys, and they look great. One of my friends has her hair cut fairly boyish, and it looks good. I can't imagine the hair of any of these girls any differently.
Basically, saying "girls should look like girls", implying also that "guys should look like guys", is offensive to both parties here. No one has to fit inside a box if they don't want to.
Also, we're getting all worked up over a virtual vocalist. She's not even real! She's a piece of computer software which is used to sing, which just happens to have a picture to represent the voice. Calm down, people.
I won't be surprised if I get hate for this post. But here goes nothing.
