Soon after the announcement of Megpoid V4, a fan asked if there were plans for a Megpoid English update. It was confirmed that the voicebank would be updated "next time". Confirmation also came in response that the update had no schedule.[1] When asked about what it meant and if additional voicebanks would be made, it was confirmed that development would likely begin in 2016 or 2017. However, new vocals would likely be too difficult.[2]
VOCALOID5[]
The current status of this project is unknown as Internet Co., Ltd. have announced they are not making any VOCALOID5 voicebanks.[3]
