UNI VOCALOID4 Append English | Songs Albums Notable Originals

This article is about the assumed cancelled VOCALOID4 software known as a voicebank. If you are looking for the VOCALOID character then click here.

History[]

2015[]

On July 27, 2015, several questions were brought up to VOCALOID EMPIRE's Twitter account. UNI would have more than one voicebank and it was hinted that she may be able to sing in multiple languages.[1]

2016[]

On June 17, 2016, it was revealed that UNI would be bilingual in English but would release separately from the Korean voicebanks. The English voicebank was estimated to release in Spring 2017 while the Korean voicebanks were expected to release in September 2016.[2]

It was later confirmed on November 16 that UNI's English voicebank would not be in development until her Korean Append voicebanks were released.[3]

Information about the production of this software stalled since then. In July 2020, in regards to planning an upcoming Korean male Vocaloid, ST Media stated that YAMAHA no longer supported the VOCALOID4 engine, which now limits the possibility of UNI receiving more voicebanks.[4]
