ZAN-SHIN Co., Ltd. (株式会社ZAN-SHIN) is an entertainment and content production company located in Shibuya Ward, Japan formed by producer HirotoP. HirotoP previously collaborated with Internet Co., Ltd. and doujin group CULNOZA under the title VOCALO Revolution in 2011 and released their first VOCALOID3 library CUL.

Throughout 2020, HirotoP composed tweets in regards to CUL and the many parts of her project, including REV's VOCALOID project ceasing development.[1] He revealed that CUL had conceptual sisters themed around the following colors: blue, white, yellow, and red. It was also confirmed that she had a twin sister known as "Black CUL" (Wet Crow).
On March 20, 2021, HirotoP confirmed that ROSA, CUL's younger sister with a pink theme, was in production for a new AI singing and talk synthesizer. She was to be developed in collaboration with ZAN-SHIN Co., Ltd.[2] HirotoP later noted that ROSA's singing voicebank would be made for Synthesizer V AI or CeVIO AI, suggesting that VOCALO Revolution would no longer be producing vocals for VOCALOID.[3] In addition, due to an unexpected high interest from western fans, HirotoP was also considering a possible English singing and speech voicebank for ROSA.[4] It was later confirmed that ROSA's singing voicebank would be made for Synthesizer V AI while her speech voicebank would be for CeVIO AI.[5] After a successful crowdfunding campaign, her CeVIO AI Talk Voice was released on December 17; her Synthesizer V AI voice database, after a long-delayed crowdfund, is expected to be released on June 3, 2024.

CUL (カル), also known as RE:CUL (リカル),[6] REDCUL[7] and HanaCUL (花CUL, FlowerCUL),[8] was a mascot for the VOCALO Revolution TV show. She is HirotoP's first character and one of WhiteCUL's younger sisters. She is accompanied by a toy poodle named Lucia (るちあ) who lives in her neighborhood. She later received a Japanese voicebank for the VOCALOID3 engine on December 22, 2011.

REV (レヴ) was a mascot for VOCALO Revolution and CUL's male counterpart. He is HirotoP's 2nd character. HirotoP later rebooted him in May 2021 with the "REV Reboot Project", where he received DeepVocal, TALQu and CoeFont voicebanks.[10]

BLACKCUL (黒CUL), also known as Nuregarasu (濡鴉, Luscious Black Hair Color) is CUL's twin sister and one of WhiteCUL's younger sisters. She is HirotoP's 3rd character and has her origins as a color-swapped CUL MMD model. She was estranged from her family when she was young and grew up working for the very forces that threaten her home village.
